One of the most important function of the Multimedia service through Wire-less Network is supplying the Quality of Service : QoS accordign to the whole structure of the Network, and features. Our company recently selected and developed fraction lost based QOS service, which has evolved from the round-trip delay based QOS. And this development went through service experiences on commercial wireless network and service quality report on error network recently made.

Ontimetek™ developed Dynamic Rate Control(DRC) Method to do more precise QoS level control through adapting QoS guarantee technology which domestic carrier already
adapted based Contents Bit Rate to RTCP Receiver Report based technology, supporting
Linear Increase Multiple Decrease(LIMD) QoS guarantee method based scalable contents.
The core technology is to design server system which could control drift errors happen by change of rate parameter within the allowance by its efficient analysis.

Ontimetek's VOD System can supply more than 5 levels of Scalability for each content, and Scalability level has ÇØ´ç Bit-Rate, so it supplies the service with the bit-rate for the best suited QOS service according to the network/terminal functions and status.

The Bit-Rate Controlling function which the Streaming Server supplies, can be applied differently according to the authority of the defined user of the types of network/terminal/service. And supplies the best suited Qos through detecting the conditions of network.

Using SP/PR of RTSP, it is possible to supply the Bit-Rate concerning Network/terminal /Service.

Through applying the LIMD algorism(based on SR/PR of RTSP), the condition of the network can be detected on real-time, and the active/intelligent QOS service will be supplied through the data of the network. Therefore, the client can be supplied the best suited service which the network/terminal can give.
